Made the Dream Come True
Dear Islamic brothers! The blessed month of Zul-Hijjah is filled with countless blessings, mercy, and spiritual enlightenment. It reminds us of the remarkable sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his beloved son Prophet Isma’il (AS), who demonstrated complete obedience, patience, and trust in Allah Almighty.
The Dream of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)
On the eighth night of Zul-Hijjah, Prophet Ibrahim (AS) saw in a dream that Allah Almighty had commanded him to sacrifice his beloved son. The same dream appeared again on the ninth and tenth nights, confirming that it was a divine command.
The Response of Prophet Isma’il (AS)
When Prophet Ibrahim (AS) shared the dream with his son, Prophet Isma’il (AS) responded with complete submission to Allah’s command.
“O my father! Do what you are commanded. If Allah wills, you will find me among the patient.” (Surah As-Saffat 37:102)
Tie Me Tightly with the Ropes
Prophet Isma’il (AS) displayed remarkable patience and sincerity by requesting his father to tie him firmly before the sacrifice and to sharpen the knife to reduce pain.
The Heavenly Ram and Takbeer-e-Tashreeq
Allah Almighty accepted the sincerity of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and replaced Prophet Isma’il (AS) with a ram sent from Paradise. This event gave rise to the beautiful words of Takbeer-e-Tashreeq, which Muslims continue to recite during the days of Eid-ul-Adha.
Takbeer-e-Tashreeq
اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ، وَاللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَلِلّٰهِ الْحَمْدُ

Islam encourages Muslims to divide the Qurbani meat among family, relatives, friends, and those in need. Sharing the blessings of Qurbani strengthens unity, compassion, and brotherhood within the community.
